Choir accompanist: First Mennonite Church (Bluffton, OH) is seeking a piano accompanist for its adult choir. The 30 member choir usually sings 2-3 times per month (Sept. – May) with weekly rehearsals on Wednesdays (7-8 p.m.). On each Sunday the choir sings, there is a 20 minute rehearsal prior to the 10:30 worship service. This is a paid position.
Desired skills:
- • intermediate to advanced piano skills
- • previous experience in accompanying choirs
- • effective cooperation in the rehearsal setting
Other information: Choral repertoire includes music from various time periods and musical styles. The congregation values quality music as integral to the worship experience. For example, perhaps you are available to play only one Sunday per month. We are willing to consider filling the position with more than one pianist, if necessary.
