I have served in the role of Director of Music at First Mennonite Church since 2006.  When our family moved to Bluffton in 2000, we knew we would want to worship at this church with its excellent pastoral team, warm congregation and wonderful music. It is a real gift to follow in the strong foundation laid by those who have led music and worship at First Mennonite Church before me.  And, it is a real joy to see all the people continuing to participate in music activities at the church.  A music educator for 35 years, I am now semi-retired. Besides this quarter-time church position, I conduct the Lima Symphony Chorus.

I greatly enjoy my life in the Bluffton community with my wife, Elaine, who is employed at Bluffton University. We have two grown sons, Ryan and Matthew. Ryan is married to Erin (Diller), and they live in Pittsburg, PA with their two wonderful children, Luke and Mara.  Matthew is married to Emma (Kessel) and they live in Winston-Salem, NC.
